ヒロは好奇心旺盛なクマなので、何ヶ月も寝続けることはできません。
兄弟たちが甘い夢に浸っている間、ヒロは寝返りを打ち、羊を数えたり、足の毛を数えたりしています。
お腹が鳴り、心は冒険を求めています。
「冬眠は誰でもできるわけじゃないんだ」
少し不機嫌そうにささやきます。
そこで、クマのヒロは、ちょっと散歩に出かけることにしました。
「冬は怖いよ。長い夜には絶対に外に出ちゃダメ！」
お母さんはいつそう警告していました。
