「In Waves」 は、サーファーでありイラストレーターでもあるAJ Dungoによるグラフィックノベルです。

作者のDungoと彼のパートナーであるクリステンとの物語です。
クリステンは長期間にわたりガンと闘い、Dungoは彼女との愛、彼女の闘病、そして彼女を失った後の深い悲しみを描いていきます

Dungoは自身のサーフィンへの情熱を物語に織り込み、サーフィンの歴史やその文化的意義を紹介します。
特に、ハワイのサーフィン伝説であるデューク・カハナモクやトム・ブレイクといった人物の物語を語っていきます。
