Pan Macmillanから出版されルイス・キャロル「不思議の国のアリス」と「鏡の国のアリス」を合わせたミニチュア版のギフトブックです。

「Little Folks’ Edition」はMacmillan社によって1903年に初めて出版されました。Macmillanは1865年に「Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland」を、1871年に「Through the Looking-Glass」を最初に出版しました。長い間、アリスの出版に関わっています。本書はアーカイブから復元されました。若い読者向けに特別に短縮されており、元の1865年版の約6分の1の長さに編集されています。これにより、子どもでも読みやすく、物語のエッセンスを楽しみやすくなっています。

サー・ジョン・テニエルのオリジナルイラストが60点以上含まれており、フルカラーで再現されています。特筆すべきは、アリスが赤いドレスで描かれている点です。これは1903年の「Little Folks’ Edition」特有の特徴で、現代のイメージである青いドレスのアリスとは異なります。この赤いドレスのアリスは、1907年版の「Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: The Little Folks’ Edition」に初めて登場しました。
