小さな種が一つ、全く育っていませんでした。
「どうしたんだろう？」とテントウムシは言いました。
「隣に座って待っていましょう。もう少し時間が必要かも」とアリは答えました。

アリの言う通りでした。
しばらくすると種は小さな根を張り、小さな緑の葉が芽吹き始めました。
彼女の生命がはじまりました。
とても繊細でこわれやすそうな小さな芽。
アリとテントウムシはすぐに彼女のことが大好きになりました。
