昔々、ある年老いた漁師が海へと漕ぎ出しました。
網を投げながら彼が口笛を吹くと、はるか海面の下で、三人の人魚たちがその調べを耳にしました。
「なぜ、あのおじいさんはあんなに楽しげな音を奏でているのかしら？」
不思議に思った彼女たちは、次々と彼のもとへと泳ぎ寄っていきました。
その風変わりな漁師に、何か贈り物をしたくてたまらなかったのです。

最初の人魚は栄光と富を歌い、彼に富と黄金を約束した。
「あなたが大切にしている思い出を一つ私にください」と彼女は歌った。「そうすれば、あなたの夢をすべて叶えてあげましょう。」
……。

静かな海辺の寓話。
年老いた漁師が朝の海に網を投げ、孤独な歌を口ずさんでいました。
すると３人の人魚が現れ、「若返りを」「富を」「永遠の幸せを」と、願うものをすべてあげましょう、と提案します。
引き換えはただ一つ、心を温める猫の記憶、海の底に沈めた夢といった漁師の大切なものや夢や願い。
漁師は人魚たちの誘惑に心が揺らいでいくのでしょうか。

魚や星がきらめき、現実と夢の境にあるような不思議な世界がページを捲るたびに広がります。
