主人公は11歳の少年ルイ。
両親の別居、心配性の母親との都会暮らし、そして田舎の家でアルコール依存症と闘いながら密かに涙を流す父親。弟のトリュフが無邪気にジェームス・ブラウンを歌う傍らで、ルイは子どもながらに「家族という形の崩壊」を静かに見つめています。
