老いた実業家は死にかけていた。

「The Inheritance（継承）」は大人の読者にとっては、その強力な政治的メッセージと芸術性を称賛されるでしょう。けれども子供たちに気候変動の恐怖や過激な意見を伝えるのは間違っているという意見がでるかもしれません。作者は子供たちに政治的メッセージを持たせること自体は間違っていない、と考えているのかもしれません。

グレーダーの作品は、子どもたちにとってはあまりにも厳しすぎる、あまりにも「直接的」すぎる、あまりにも憂鬱すぎるのではないかと思われるかもしれません。

グレーダーのイラストの力強さは、彼の言葉よりも強力かもしれません。
