It's a Secret!

マリーの家にはマルコムという猫が住んでいました。
毎夜、マルコムは外へでかけていって、毎朝、帰ってきます。
日中はずっと眠っていました。
「マルコムは夜、どこにでかけているのかしら？」マリーはお母さんにたずねました。
「さあね」とお母さん。
ある夏の夜のことです。冷たい水を飲みに、キッチンに降りると、そこにはかわいらしく着飾ったマルコムがいました。
「どうしてそんなにおめかしをしているの？　どこかにいくの？」
マリーはたずねました。
「パーティーにいくんだ」とマルコム。「でもこれはどれにも話してはいけない秘密のことなんだ」
「ねえ、マルコム。あたしもつれてってよ。おねがい。秘密するわ」
マルコムは少し考えてから「いいよ、わかった。でもそんな格好では行けないな」
マリーは急いで部屋に戻って、パーティドレスに着替えました……。

マルコムに連れられて猫のパーティーへ向かったマリー。
どんなパーティなのでしょうね。
きっととっても楽しいに違いありませんね！
